Dear AAU staff,

Today, preparations for the celebration of democracy at AAU begins. The AAU Elections 2023 have been called, which means you have the chance to exercise your democratic right and have a say about university matters, including the university’s strategic development, academic matters, budgets and priorities.

Stand for AAU Elections 2023

Academic staff members (VIP) can stand for election to the University Board, Academic Council, Departmental Council and for the Study Board. If you are an employed PhD student, a main supervisor for a PhD student or serving as the head of a PhD programme, you can also stand for election to a PhD Committee.

Technical and administrative staff members (TAP) can stand for election to the University Board and Department Council, however you can only stand for a Department Council if you are affiliated with a department.

The electoral period is four years from 1 February 2024 to 31 January 2028.

You can declare your candidacy from 9 October to 27 October 2023. So, start considering if this could be for you and if you would like to form a candidate list with some of your colleagues.

AAU has diversity as a core value and wants to reflect this in its governing bodies. Everyone, regardless of personal background and orientation, is therefore encouraged to stand for the AAU elections – read more on how to declare your candidacy on AAU’s election website.

On 9 October at 10.00, when the election system is open for candidates, you will receive a new email with further information.

Vote for the AAU Elections 2023

You can vote electronically from 27 November to 30 November 2023.

Kære ansatte på AAU

I dag starter forberedelserne til nogle af demokratiets festdage på AAU. AAU-Valg 2023 er udskrevet, og det betyder, at du kan udøve din demokratiske ret og få indflydelse på universitetet,herunder universitetets strategiske udvikling, akademiske forhold, budgetter og prioriteringer.

Stil op til AAU-Valg 2023

Du kan som videnskabeligt ansat (VIP) stille op til bestyrelsen, akademisk råd, institutråd og studienævn. Som ansat ph.d.-studerende, hovedvejleder for en ph.d.-studerende eller programleder for et ph.d.-program kan du også stille op til et ph.d.-udvalg.

Som teknisk-administrativ ansat (TAP) kan du stille op til bestyrelsen og institutråd, sidstnævnte dog kun som ansat på et institut.

Valgperioden er fire år fra 1. februar 2024 til 31. januar 2028.

Du kan stille op som kandidat fra den 9.-27. oktober 2023. Så begynd allerede nu at overveje, om det kunne være noget for dig, og om du ønsker at danne en kandidatliste sammen med nogle af dine kolleger.

AAU har diversitet som en kerneværdi, og ønsker at afspejle dette i de styrende organer. Derfor opfordres alle uanset personlig baggrund og orientering til at stille op til AAU-valget.

Når der bliver åbent for opstilling i valgsystemet den 9. oktober kl. 10.00, modtager du en ny mail med mere information.

Selve afstemningen til valget foregår elektronisk fra den 27.-30. november 2023.
